Uganda’s second-largest sugar producer. Since acquiring a 70% stake in 2006, Sarrai Group has invested over $45M to expand capacity to 105,000 MT annually. Kinyara generates its own green energy from bagasse and supports a network of over 7,500 outgrower farmers.
Hoima Sugar Ltd
A modern greenfield project featuring a 1500 TCD crushing capacity. Hoima Sugar is an integrated complex with a sugar factory, a distillery for industrial ethanol, and a cogeneration power plant that feeds the national grid.
Mumias Sugar Company
The legendary giant of Kenyan sugar. Sarrai Group won the lease to revive this iconic miller. We are currently rehabilitating the nucleus estate and factory to restore Mumias to its former glory as Kenya’s leading sugar producer.
